6.12.4 Main menu

 Administration

 Network

 PPPoE 

 

is the use of the network protocol Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) over Ethernet (oE), i.e. via an 
Ethernet connection. PPPoE is mainly used today by providers for DSL and e.g. ADSL 
logins. 
 

 

 

Activate the PPPoE function and enter your user name and password (provided by your 
Internet Service Provider after signing the contract).  

 

  Click on "Apply" and "OK". 

 

  Restart the recorder. 

 

  After restarting, the recorder automatically connects to the Internet. 

 

 
Note: The system is directly connected to the Internet. To maximise security against possible 
attacks, please use HTTPS only and disable any functions that are not required. Keep the 
firmware of the 3G/4G dongel and the recorder permanently up to date.
