Diagnostic Message
(for all control systems)
The control panel will be disabled until power returns. Spa settings are preserved until the next power-
up.

Do noT EnTEr THE WaTEr.
Remove the spa cover and allow water to cool. Once the heater has cooled,
reset by pushing any button. If spa does not reset, shut off the power to the spa and contact your authorized
Bullfrog Spas Dealer.
No message on display. Power has been cut off to the
spa.
overheat
- The spa has shut down. One of the sensors has
detected that the spa water is 110°F (43.3°C).
Spa has shutdown.
Spa has shutdown.
Heater is shut down, but other spa functions run normally
(displays on the 5
th
occurrence of the
HfL
message within a
24-hour period).
Inadequate water detected in heater.
Ice – Potential freeze conditions detected.
A difference between the temperature sensors was
detected.
Spa has shutdown.
No message on display. Power has been cut off to the
spa.
overheat
- The spa has shut down. One of the sensors has
detected that the spa water is 118°F (47.8°C) at the
heater.
Do noT EnTEr THE WaTEr.
Remove the spa cover and allow water to cool. At 107°F (41.7°C), the spa should
automatically reset. If spa does not reset, shut off the power to the spa and contact your authorized Bullfrog
Spas Dealer.
No action is required. The pumps will automatically activate regardless of spa status.
The sensor plugged into sensor “A” jack is not working. The error may appear temporarily in an
overheat situation and disappear once the heater cools. If the problem persists, contact your
authorized Bullfrog Spas Dealer.
The sensor plugged into sensor “B” jack is not working. The error may appear temporarily in an
overheat situation and disappear once the heater cools. If the problem persists, contact your
authorized Bullfrog Spas Dealer.
Sensors are out of balance. If this is alternating with the temperature, it may just be temporary. If the
problem persists, contact your authorized Bullfrog Spas Dealer.
This could indicate a flow problem. Check water level in spa. Refill if necessary. If the water level is
acceptable, make sure the pumps have been primed. If the problem persists, contact your authorized
Bullfrog Spas Dealer.
Persistent low flow problems. Follow the instructions for the
HfL
message. Heating capacity of the spa
will not reset automatically. Press any button to reset.
Check water level in spa. Refill if necessary. If the water level is okay, make sure the pumps have been
primed. Press any button to reset.
Inadequate water detected in the heater. Follow the actions listed for the
dr
message. The spa will
not reset automatically. Press any button to reset.
