Trunk and Fuel Door Releases
The remote TRUNK RELEASE and
FUEL DOOR RELEASE buttons are
located on the left side of the instrument
panel.
Remote Trunk Release
To operate:
1. The vehicle must be in PARK (P) or
neutral (N) and the trunk release
lockout unlocked.
2. Press the TRUNK RELEASE button
to open the trunk lid.
Remote Trunk Release Lockout
The remote TRUNK RELEASE LOCK-
OUT button also allows you to secure
items in the trunk. It will disable the
TRUNK RELEASE button.
To operate:
1. Insert the ignition key into the TRUNK
RELEASE button.
2. Turn the key one-quarter of a turn to
the right.
3. Remove the key.
Alternate Manual Fuel Door Release
An alternate fuel door release is located
in the top of the trunk compartment on
the driver’s side.
Pull the FUEL DOOR RELEASE tab to
release the fuel door.
Valet Key
The valet key is used for the ignition and
side doors only. It does not open the
trunk or glove box. Use this key when
valet parking your vehicle.
Use the
ignition
key to open all doors,
the trunk, and glove box. Do not use a
valet key to duplicate an ignition key.

Convenience Features
Traction Control System
(optional)
The Traction Control System automati-
cally comes on whenever you start the
vehicle. If your vehicle gets stuck in
sand, mud, ice or snow, you can turn the
system off by pressing the TRACTION
OFF button located on the end of the
shift lever.
