18. Antenna & Cable Care Guide

•

Do not mount the antenna to a metal pole. This can
negatively affect the antenna’s performance.

•

Do not hold the antenna while trying to get a signal.
Your body can nullify the antenna’s effectivenss.

•

Painting the antenna can drastically reduce the effec-
tive range of the antenna.

•

The antenna manufacturer recommends grounding
the antenna. Electrical damage casued by a lack of
grounding is not covered under warranty.

•

Avoid pinching the cable in doors or windows. This
can damage the cable internally and cause communi-
cation problems.

•

When using a wrench to tighten the antenna cable
connectors, take care to avoid damaging the cable.

•

Keep in mind the location where the connector at-
taches to the cable is the most vulnerable to damage.

•

Cables and Antennae that are damaged due to abuse
are not covered under the warranty.
