Remove the hook from its housing and use
it to remove the old print ribbon by hooking
it under the cog (

) and lifting it up (

Lift out the front roll.
•
Push the print roll up against the spring
loaded green spindle (

) and lift the print
roll out of the compartment (

).

Replace the Green Hook in its holder.
To insert the new print ribbon
•
Remove the print ribbon from its packaging
and insert the cog and the spigot from your
old print ribbon into the front roll as shown
below.

Remove the elastic tie from around the new
roll but don’t allow the ribbon to unroll at
this stage.
The end of the front roll into which the cog must
be inserted has a single groove cut into it. This
ensures that the cog is positioned correctly and
prevents it from slipping once inside the roll.
Insert the cog right up to the shoulder, making
sure the key fits into the groove. (See below.)
