Using remote access
When the remote access password has been
set you can operate the answering machine
remotely using a
Touchtone™
telephone.
•
Dial your telephone number, your Image 370
will answer the call.
•
After your outgoing message has been
played press the
✱
button; you will hear two
beep if the
✱
is recognised. If you don’t hear
the beeps press
✱
again until a response is
received.
•
When you have received a response, key in
your password; if the password is accepted
you will hear two beeps; if the password is
incorrect you will hear four beeps and you
should key in your password again.
To be able to use the remote access facility your
Image 370’s answering machine must be
switched on.
If you have left your Image 370 in manual mode,
you can switch it on remotely by calling from
another telephone and dialling it to ring 20 times.
To make use of the time saver facility your
answering machine ring count should be set to 4
or more rings. Setting the password switches on
the time saver facility.

When your password has been accepted you
can use the following key entries to control the
answer machine:-

Press the

button to play your messages.
•
Press the
4
button to skip back to the start
of the previous message.
•
Press the
5
button to delete the current
message.
•
Press the
6
button to skip to the start of the
next message.
•
Press the
8
button to delete all messages.
If you enter the wrong password twice the line
will be disconnected.
After deleting all messages Image 370 will
automatically drop the line.
