Using the recall button
If you have an ordinary telephone extension
to a PBX, you would normally use the
RECALL
button to put a call on hold and transfer it to
another extension.
The
RECALL
button can also be used in
conjunction with BT Select Services.
If you are a BT customer connected to a digital
exchange, you can subscribe to a range of BT’s
Select Services. If you wish to subscribe to any
of these services, contact us on

If you are not a BT customer, please contact
your network provider for information about
their network based services.
Remote start
If you answer a call on an extension telephone,
on the same line as your Image 370, and find it
is a fax call, you can switch your Image 370 into
fax receive mode by dialling 19 (provided it is a
Touchtone
TM
telephone).
If it is a fax call you will normally hear a beep
every 3 seconds.

Additional features
If the extension telephone is connected in the
piggy back socket on the Image 370 line cord
you must dial 19 within 1 minute of answering.
If the extension telephone is connected
elsewhere you must dial 19 within 30 seconds
of answering.
When you hear the Image 370 responding with
fax tones, replace the extension handset.
Using callback
When sending a fax you can request voice
contact by pressing the
button. This will
prompt the other party to pick up their handset
after the last page has been sent. If they respond
to your request your Image 370 will alert you
with tones and the display will show
LIFT
HANDSET
. Lift the handset to speak to the
other party (there may be a short delay before
connection).
If the other party does not respond your Image
370 will instruct their fax machine to print out
your callback number along with a message
requesting a telephone call.
See page 27 for storing your call back number.
This feature also works when receiving a fax
but, in this case, the sender will be prompted
to pick up their handset at the end of the
current page.
