Installing the traverse bar
Only
BST
personnel may install the traverse bar(s). This ensures
that the requirements for traverse bar alignment described below
are observed.
5.3
Requirements
The side walls must have sufficient load-bearing capacity. Use the
following formulas for calculating the required load-bearing capa-
city:
Spectral measuring head with traverse bar (
without
camera unit):
Load-bearing capacity = Traverse bar length [mm] * 0.0135 +
43.5 [kg]
Spectral measuring head with traverse bar (
with
camera unit):
Load-bearing capacity = Traverse bar length [mm] * 0.0135 + 49
[kg]
Motorized backing unit (optional) with traverse bar:
Load-bearing capacity = Traverse bar length [mm] * 0.0135 + 49
[kg]
■
When fastening the traverse bar on the machine stand, ensure
that
- the traverse bar is positioned parallel to the printed web
and at a right angle in relation to the side walls
- the machine stand does not vibrate.
■
When aligning the traverse bar with the aid of the alignment
tools, note the following:
- The spectral measuring head must be pointing to the peak
of the measuring roller.
- The spacing between the spectral measuring head and the
printed web must be precisely 20 mm at each traverse bar
position.
- Ensure that the electrical connections of the spectral meas-
uring head are easily accessible.
- Ensure that the printed web is guided straight and without
web flapping through the monitoring path.
