Q: How do I uninstall the GlidePoint drivers and utilities from the
hard disk?
A: Follow these steps to uninstall the drivers and utilities.
1.
Use a text editor such as NOTEPAD to access your
AUTOEXEC.BAT in your root directory.

Remove the following statements:
set mouse= c:<directory>
C:<directory>glide
where <directory> indicates the directory where you
installed the GlidePoint software.
4.
Save and then close AUTOEXEC.BAT
5.
Open file SYSTEM.INI in your WINDOWS directory
and move to the boot section.
6.
Remove c:\glide\glide.drv from the “mouse.drv=”
statement. Leave this statement as “mouse.drv=”.
7.
Save and then close SYSTEM.INI.
8.
Open WIN.INI in your WINDOWS directory and
move to the window’s section.
9.
Remove “c:glide xpoint.exe” from the load statement.
Leave the statement as “load=”.
10. Save and then close file WIN.INI
11. Exit from the text editor.
12. Reboot the computer for the changes to take effect.
Q: When I access a communication program to use my modem,
either the communication application or the GlidePoint locks up.
