Chapter 3
Starting Your System
Before you turn on your system, observing the following steps will prevent
any startup problems.
1.
If you don’t have an auto-sensing power supply make sure the
input voltage selector switch on the power supply is set correctly
to either 115V or 230V depending on your local outlet voltage.
2.
Connect the keyboard and touchpad connectors according to
Figure [3].
4.
Plug in the AC power cord. You are now ready to turn on your
system.
5.
Press the power on/off switch. The system will automatically
start. If an operating system is already installed, your workstation
should boot to the operating system’s startup screen.

fine tune your LCD display, and configuration and trouble shooting
techniques for your GlidePoint touchpad.
The Video Subsystem
The LCD-V8 series of portable workstations are available with different
combinations of video controllers and LCD screens. The LCD may be an
