4) Check the PC installation using the PULSE License Manager to ensure that the
following software are all present and licensed:
•
PULSE Vehicle Pass-by Type 7788-G
• GADI Driver Type 3099-E (used by the digital weather station)
5) Open the PBY Vehicle Pass-by software module and use the
Reconnect Signals
function to connect the pass-by signals in the template to the correct channels on
the Input Module.
6) Check the
Session Setup
task in the Pass-by software. Click
Meta data
to open the
Export to Database
window. Select the
Connection
tab page to see that there is a
Pass-by database defined and connected. If there is no database visible in the list,
consult the help to see how to create a suitable database. The
Meta data
fields,
visible under
Meta data
tab page will indicate whether it is a pass-by database.
7) Go to the Acquisition Setup task and ensure the
Mode
is set to Standard . Then
configure the track details such as:
•
Microphone signals
• Speed sensor type and pulses/m
• Trigger signals (photocells)
• Weather station (optional)
• Surface temperature sensor (optional)
• Engine speed sensor (optional)
• Throttle sensor (optional)
8) Once completed, click Apply/Save and save the project with a unique name.
9) Go to the
Session setup
task and set up a session:
a) Select the standard that you wish to test according to.
b) Click
Meta data
and fill out the relevant fields to document your test.
c) Select the category, if known. The system will automatically apply
procedures/values.
