 it can be seen that relatively long output cables can be used for connec-

tion of measuring instrumentation. For example, the preamplifiers can be used with
frequencies up to 33 kHz with an output load capacitance of 50 nF. Therefore, cable
lengths up to 500 m may be used when using a cable with a shunt capacitance of
100 pF/m.

The high frequency cut-off is determined by a two-pole, Butterworth low-pass filter
and is pre-adjusted to 33 kHz (–3 dB). The cut-off frequency may be adjusted between
250 Hz and 33 kHz, and with reduced specifications to 200 kHz. The formula for calcu-
lating the cut-off frequency is given in 

section 2.5.2
