4-9. Making protection settings

<Protection settings>

1. While pressing the home key, turn on the power to switch to the special

menu screen.

2. At the special menu screen, select "Protection setting".

* If startup method 1 has been set, this option cannot be selected unless

USB memory has been inserted. (The initial setting is "2".)

<Protection setting selection>

You can change the protection setting startup method.
1. At the protection setting screen, select "Protection setting selection".

2. Press the [

] or [

] key (1) to select the desired setting.

1: Protection settings cannot be carried out unless USB memory is

inserted.

2: Protection settings can be carried out at any time.

3. Press the OK key

to confirm the setting.

Protection settings can be carried out individually for each function*.

* For details, refer to " List of functions that can be protected ".

1. At the protection setting screen, select "Individual selection of protection

setting ".

2. Press the [

] or [

] key (2) to select the items to be protected.

3. Touch an item, and then select whether to enable or disable protection for

that item.
