8. ASSEMBLY

KE-430HX/KE-430HS, BE-438HX/BE-438HS

1) While maintaining the condition in C, install drive gear 16 16 to the motor bracket assembly 20 so that the

index mark is facing directly upward. Make sure that the harness connector is facing the correct way at
this time.

2) Engage drive gear 16 16 and the cam gear 4, and while taking up the backlash (play), install the pulse

motor P assembly 17.

Set the first set screws 7 and 9 in the clockwise direction
to the screw stop position as viewed from a direction of
the arrow.

Set the first set screw 18 in the clockwise
direction to the screw stop position as
viewed from a direction of the arrow.

Set so that the clearance between
drive gear 16 16 and the edge of the
pulse motor P assembly 17 is 0.5 mm.

The thread wiper cam assembly 5 also has a slot c in it, so make sure the correct hole is used.

Align the positions of hole a in the thread wiper cam
assembly 5 and hole b in the motor bracket assembly 20.

Make sure the harness connector is
