Reading / Setting the Parameter Block
Note: Not available in mode 0 and 0+128!
Syntax:
P <CNo.> [ = <Pblock> ]
P
Command
<CNo.>
Channel number 0
= <Pblock>
Optional to write setting, otherwise read
The reading and writing of the parameter block serves the backing-up, respectively quick
setting of instrument via the interface. This enables an exchanged instrument to be newly
configured by simply writing the saved parameter block, without having to use single com-
mands. The parameter block itself consists of a string of hexadecimal numbers, and eight
partial blocks are transmitted. The block contains a check sum; therefore, it can only be
transmitted in unchanged form.
Note: The first partial blocks have to be marked as block at transmission, i.e. they are to
end with "end of block" (17h) and not with "end of text (03h) respectively "line feed"
(0ah) and not with "carriage return" (odh) for the transmission via the V.24 interface
(similar to RS-232).
