Checking your BritePort 8012-G1 DSL Modem’s Status
BBUI allows you to view statistics from your DSL
Modem and DSL connection. Select the tab of the
various statistics you want to view as shown in Figure
2-14.
BBUI also enables you to perform additional
diagnostic tests. Select the Diagnostics tab.

ATM OAM End-to-End Loopback tests the
connection between your DSL Modem and
your telephone line.

Ping Default Gateway tests the status of your
DSL Modem.
❑
Ping Primary DNS tests the status if your
DSL connection.
❑
Ping tests the validity of a web or an IP
address.
Click the
Test
button next to the test you want to
perform, or click
Test All
to perform all the tests as
shown in Figure 2-15.
