This CV sets the startup sound volume for DC operation.

The  decoder’s  digital  volume  control  increases  or  decreases  the 
volume  of  the  sound.    The  change  between  the  255  available  steps 
may be set from 0 to 255 (

CV130

). Every press of the volume toggle 

switch will result in a volume change incrementing or decrementing 
by the value in 

CV130

. This value (CV123) is the decoder’s power up 

value  for  DC.    A  higher  value  increases  the  volume  while  a  lower 
value decreases the volume.  Due to desiring lower startup voltages 
(more control range) and that many transformers may not provide a 
uniform voltage under load, the DC sounds volume may be lowered.
