• Die BRITA AquaGusto Wassertank-Filter müssen entsprechend der in dieser
Bedienungsanleitung beschriebenen Anweisungen beschafft und ausgetauscht
werden. BRITA ist nicht verantwortlich für jegliche Schäden, einschließlich Folge-
schäden, die durch die fehlerhafte Installation oder Verwendung des Produkts
entstehen.
2.2. Sicherheitsinformation
• Es darf ausschließlich Wasser in Trinkwasserqualität als Zulauf für das BRITA
Wasser fi ltersystem verwendet werden. Ohne geeignete Desinfektion darf weder
mikrobiologisch beeinträchtigtes Wasser noch Wasser von unbekannter Qualität
verwendet werden.
• Wenn eine offi zielle Anweisung zum Abkochen von Leitungswasser besteht, muss
BRITA gefi ltertes Wasser ebenfalls abgekocht werden. Wenn die Anweisung zum
Abkochen des Wassers nicht mehr gilt, muss das gesamte Gerät gereinigt und der
Wassertankfi lter gewechselt werden.
• Für bestimmte Personengruppen (z. B. Personen mit geschwächtem Immunsystem,
Babys) wird generell empfohlen, das Leitungswasser abzukochen. Dies gilt ebenfalls
für behandeltes Wasser mit dem BRITA AquaGusto Wassertank-Filter.
• Aus hygienischen Gründen wurde das Filtermaterial einer speziellen Silberbehandlung
unterzogen. Es kann daher eine geringe Menge Silber an das Wasser abgegeben
werden. Dies ist jedoch unbedenklich für die Gesundheit und entspricht den Empfeh-
lungen der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) für Trinkwasser.
• Hinweis für Personen mit Nierenerkrankungen oder Dialysepatienten: Während
des Filtervorgangs kann der Kaliumgehalt des Wassers leicht erhöht sein. Falls Sie
an einer Nierenerkrankung leiden und/oder sich an eine spezielle Kaliumdiät halten
müssen, empfehlen wir Ihnen vor der Verwendung des Wassertank-Filters Ihren
Arzt zu konsultieren.
• Das Endgerät, welches mit dem Filter verwendet wird, muss vor der Installation frei
von Verkalkungen sein.
• Bei der Auswahl der Materialien, die nach dem BRITA Filtersystem mit dem Wasser
in Kontakt kommen, ist es wichtig zu bedenken, dass das gefi lterte Wasser aufgrund
des Vorgangs gelöstes Kohlendioxid enthält. Aus diesem Grund dürfen nur Materialien
verwendet werden, die mit gelöstem Kohlendioxid verträglich sind.
1. Installation and maintenance
! Caution:
Prior to installation, read the operating and safety information (Chapter 2).
1.1. Installation of the water tank fi lter and of the exchange reminder

Remove the foil and rinse the water tank filter with water
before installation.

Place the water tank filter at the bottom of the water tank
and fill the water tank with cold drinking water.
! Caution:
Do not force the water tank filter in the water tank: before installing the
water tank filter, make sure that it will be possible to get it later out of the water tank
easily by hand or using an appropriate tool.

Remove the film of the exchange reminder and place the exchange reminder on
the water tank or other visible part of the coffee machine.
Note:
do not place the exchange reminder against a source of warmth.

To activate fully squeeze the button and within 2 minutes a red activation line will
appear. If not, immediately re-squeeze the button fully. When the activation line
appears, the indicator is armed and ready to use. The red dye will continue to
progress until the maximum elapsed time has been reached.

For optimal limescale protection and best taste results, the water tank filter
should be placed in the water tank the evening before the utilization of the machine.
Always refill the water tank the evening before the next utilization.
1.2. Maintenance
• Clean the water tank regularly.
• The water in the tank must be used up or changed after maximum 1 day.
• If the coffee machine is not in use for a longer period, we recommend that the filter
be left in the water tank and the unfiltered water be poured out. Before using the
coffee machine again, remove the filter from the water tank, clean it and repeat the
stages in Chapter 1.1.
