Pre-Lift Operation Notes and Details
After the lift platform has been
raised to floor level position and
the passenger has loaded into the
vehicle, the belt remains buckled
(allowing the platform to be folded
to the stowed position). The
buckled interlock belt then allows
the platform to be unfolded to
floor level when unloading a
passenger or deploying the lift.
The belt must be latched before
loading a passenger onto the
platform from inside the vehicle.
When the platform has been
lowered to ground level, the
attendant must unlatch the belt to
allow the passenger to exit the
platform.
