3. To secure the clamp to the rail, turn the clamp screw in a clockwise direction.

Turning the clamp screw counter-clockwise will dismantle the clamp causing
the clamp components to fall. In order to avoid dropping the components if the
clamp screw is turned counter-clockwise, keep one hand beneath the clamp
when turning the clamp screw.
Make sure that the clamp is securely attached to the rail with both jaws enclosing
the side rail before using the monitor arm.
