Owner’s Guide
An Essential Part of Your
Instrument Cleaning Process
Congratulations on your purchase of a
DryCurve 1
1
00 – a fully automated
instrument dryer and the most efficient
and safest way to dry instruments
available to you.
Developed specifically for the healthcare
industry, DryCurve 1
1
00 units feature
unique product design to optimize time
and safety in the workplace, at a cost
much less than other full-cycle wet\dry
dental instrument cleaning systems.
The DryCurve 1
1
00 is an automated
instrument dryer designed to rapidly dry
water remaining on instruments after
the cleaning process. By drying the
instruments, corrosion will be minimized
during the sterilization process. The
drying of instruments, after cleaning
and before wrapping, is recommended
by industry instrument and sterilizer
manufacturers to prevent corrosion on
instruments.
Why is Instrument Drying
Important?
When instruments are cleaned, they are
typically rinsed with tap water after the
cleaning process. Tap water contains
minerals that, in many cases, can be
transferred to the sterilization chamber,
causing a buildup of minerals in the
chamber sterilizing equipment. This
buildup can also lead to discoloration
and pitting of the instruments. In
addition, wet instruments can cause
tears or breaks in the instruments’
packaging material, resulting in a
compromised unsterile environment.
Workplace Safety
The DryCurve 1
1
00 will eliminate the need for
manual or air drying of unwrapped or
cassette stored instruments, making for a
safer and more efficient work environment.
