Operating Instructions for a Hydraulic Attachment
1.
Move the engine throttle to the full speed setting. Raise the attachment off the ground and
position it for use.
2. Move the HI/LOW selector lever (Item 2,
Figure 3–38
) to either the high speed or low
speed setting depending on the attachment to be used. This setting will control both the
functional speed of the attachment as well as machine travel speed.

Make sure that you are standing on the operator’s platform and holding the Operator
Presence control in the operating position.
3. With your left hand, squeeze the OPERATOR PRESENCE control lever (Item 1,
Figure
3–38
) towards the hand grip to activate the FORWARD motion of the attachment.
NOTE
: The OPERATOR PRESENCE lever is spring loaded and when released, will
automatically move from the FORWARD motion position to NEUTRAL, stopping
the attachments motion. The engine will continue to run.
When using an attachment that will require the machine to move, such as with a
trencher or tiller, it is recommended to set the HI/LOW selector lever to the LOW speed
position.
4. Lower the attachment to begin work.
NOTE
: If you want to reverse the operation of the attachment, move the OPERATOR
PRESENCE lever (Item 1,
Figure 3–36
) to the REVERSE position. The control lever
will remain in the REVERSE position detent until it is moved to the NEUTRAL
position.
