within the framework of the commissioning of the machine as a whole. Ob‐
serve the machine manufacturer's specifications and instructions.
Before the system is commissioned, you must carry out an ac‐
ceptance inspection, including an acceptance log in which the
notes and conditions for application specified here are confirmed.
After repair and disambly at overhouling of security relevant motor
parts, the parts check of the motor according to EN 60079-15
must be done again, if the explosive-protection features were
changed at repair or disambly.

Maintenance / Repair / Dismantling
Danger of life due to electrical power! Han‐
dling within the area of live parts is extremely
dangerous.
DANGER
Any work required on the electric system must only be carried out by skilled
electricians. It is absolutely necessary to use power tools.
Before working:
1.
Disconnect.
2.
Protect the system or plant against restart.
3.
Determine de-energization.
4.
Ground and short-out.
5.
Cover or shield any adjacent live parts.
Before starting to work, check with an appropriate measuring device whether
parts of the system are still under residual voltage (e.g. caused by capacitors,
etc.). If so, wait until these parts have discharged.
Damage to persons and property at installa‐
tion work!
WARNING
●
Do not work on unsecured and operating machines.
●
Before working, secure the machine against accidental movements and
against unauthorized operation.
●
Before dismantling, secure the motor and power supply against falling or
movements before disconnecting the mechanical connections.
Combustions via hot surface with tempera‐
tures over 60 ℃
CAUTION
Let the motor cool down, before maintenance. The thermal time constant sta‐
ted in the technical data is a measure for the cooling time. A cooling time up
to 140 minutes can be necessary!
Use safety gloves.
Do not work on hot surfaces.
In case of malfunctions, maintenance works or dismantling of the motors,
proceed as follows:
1.
Use the control commands to bring the drive to a controlled standstill.
2.
Switch off the power and control voltage of the controller.
