USB Interfaces
The devices feature two USB interfaces (USB1 and USB2).
Via the USB interfaces up to 128 devices can be connected in series, that
are also provided with USB (Universal Serial Bus).
Note: The maximum power consumption of the connected devices
must not exceed 500 mA. If the load exceeds 500 mA, the
internal current monitoring is activated.
Note: The USB interfaces are not supported by the operating system
Windows NT4.0.

The USB1 as well as the USB2 interface are provided on the connector
panel. The signals of interface USB1 are also available on a female
connector on the carrier board in the PC box (e.g. to connect a dongle).
Additionally, the signals of interface USB2 are lead to the front panel; the
corresponding female connector is mounted behind the covering on the
left bottom side.
Note: Only one of the two connections of the USB interfaces should
be used:
USB1: either at the connector panel or inside the PC box
USB2: either at the connector panel or on the front panel.
Otherwise a faultless operation can’t be ensured.
