On the display, each digit of the password is indicated with an asterisk so that nobody
else can see the password.

Set Default Password

A list of all operators is displayed. Refer to Scrolling through lists, page 27 for information
on how to scroll forward and backward through a list.

Select the list field you require.
The list field is marked.

Reset
.
The operator’s password is reset to his/her previous password.

Rename elements
To change the name of an element:
1.
In the start menu, select
Configuration

Rename elements
A list of all elements is displayed. Refer to Scrolling through lists, page 27 for information
on how to scroll forward and backward through a list.

Select the list field you require.
An entry screen is displayed.

Enter a new name. Refer to Entering numbers and text, page 29 for information on how to
enter text.

Select
OK
to confirm the entry or
Cancel
to cancel the operation.
The event with the new name is displayed on the list.

Network services
19.7.1
Ethernet
You can modify and activate the network settings (IP settings, Ethernet redundancy) of panels
and remote operating panels that are networked via an Ethernet connection under
Configuration
-
Network
. Further information can be found in Networking via Ethernet, page
36.
19.7.2
Change date/time
If starting the panel for the first time enter the current time and date. The setting of the
correct date is a prerequisite for connecting the panel to the Remote Portal server.
For details please see Change Date / Time, page 89.
19.7.3
Remote Services
The Remote Services Remote Connect, Remote Alert and Remote Maintenance offer a secure
remote Internet connection from FPA-5000/FPA-1200 to the Remote Portal. For these services
the secure network gateway for Remote Services is required. For detailed instructions on
setting up a connection to the Remote Portal please refer to the Networking Guide.
To configure a connection to the Bosch Remote Portal in order to enable Remote Services
perform the following steps:
