Delete User (CMD + 5 + 3)
This function allows a user to be deleted.
This function deletes the passcode,
Master access card/token and all sub-
user access cards/tokens associated with
the user number.
1.
Ensure your keypad shows idle disarmed text.
2.
Press the
CMD
button. The display shows
*System Command*
.
3.
Press the
5
button and then the
3
button.
If you prefer, you might use the function
list in place of Steps 2 and 3 to initiate
this function.
Press the
Menu
button to enter the
function list.
Press the
Next
button repeatedly.
When you reach the
Delete User
button,
press it.
4.
The display changes to show
Enter user # to be
deleted.
Enter the user number, not the passcode. (123 is
as an example.)
Press the
ENTER
button.
5.
If the user number entered is a valid user in the
system, the display shows
Delete User 3? Are
you sure?
(3 is used as an example.)
If the user number entered is not a valid user in
the system, the display shows
This user is
currently not in use
.
6.
Press the
Yes
button to delete the user.
The display briefly shows that the user has been
deleted before returning to idle text (3 is used as
an example).
The user text is not deleted when deleting
a user. To modify a user’s text, refer to
Add/Change User (CMD + 5 + 6) on
page 48.
