Bosch Power Tools
Constant voltage regulator
(see figure C)
Note:
As an alternative to battery operation,
centre grip screwdrivers can also be operated of
a constant voltage regulator. The constant volt-
age regulator and the voltage adapters are not
included. The power plug shown can vary from
the one on your power tool.
f
Please take care, that the constant voltage
regulator is suitable for your country specif-
ic electricity network.
Apart from the 4EXACT constant voltage regula-
tor and the matching power cable, a voltage
adapter with the same rated voltage as your
cordless screwdriver is required.
f
The voltage on the constant voltage regula-
tor (LED indicator) must be the same as the
voltage of the driver.
The constant voltage
regulator is suitable exclusively for Bosch
industrial battery-operated drivers of the
EXACT series, the ANGLE EXACT series, and
the BT-EXACT series with a voltage of
between 9.6 V and 14.4 V. Otherwise, there
exists the risk of fire and explosion.
These industrial cordless screwdrivers cannot
be operated with constant voltage regulator.
Connection to the Power Supply
Note:
Please note that upon delivery neither a
battery pack nor a voltage adapter is inserted in
the power tool.
f
Never store rechargeable batteries in a bat-
tery powered tool.
Rechargeable batteries
last longer and are easier to recharge when
they are stored separately. Remember to ful-
ly recharge batteries that have been stored
for a longer time before use.
Battery Charging
Charge the battery with a suitable charging unit
before inserting it into the power tool. The exact
description of the charging procedure can be
found in the operating instructions of the charg-
ing unit and the hints in this manual (see
“Charging Procedure”, page 25).
The battery is equipped with an NTC tempera-
ture sensor that allows charging only in the tem-
perature range between 0 °C (+32 °F) and
45 °C (+113 °F). A long service life of the bat-
tery is achieved in this manner. With correct
usage, the battery can be recharged up to 3000
times.
A battery that is new or has not been used for a
longer period does not develop its full capacity
until after approx. 5 charging/discharging cy-
cles.
Batteries should only be recharged when the
LED indicator “battery condition” of the power
tool shows red.
Battery insertion/removal (see figure D)
Move the rotational direction switch
3
to the
center position. This action locks the on/off trig-
ger switch
6
in the “off” position, which pre-
vents the tool from running. Insert a fully
charged battery
5
into the handle of the power
tools.
Insure that the battery is in the correct position
and that the locking buttons
4
engage securely
into the handle of the power tool.
f
Do not exert any force when inserting/
removing the battery.
Batteries with APT
contact (
A
kku
P
ack
T
op) are designed in
such a manner that they can only be inserted
into the power tool or the charger in the
correct position.
To remove the battery
5
, squeeze the locking
buttons
4
on both sides and pull the battery
downward out of the handle.
