The data cable carries the RS232 signal between the GasFinder2 and the computer, which
stores and displays the data. It also enables the GasViewOP program to alter various
parameters in the GasFinder2 remotely. The cable supplied by Boreal Laser Inc. is marked
with a yellow band,
The cable length should not exceed 30m. If a longer distance is required, modem options are
available. All cables have a twisted pair 4-20mA connection.

The battery cables use Amphenol connectors with two-wire connectors marked ‘A’ and ‘B’.
‘A’ is positive and uses a white or red wire;
‘B’ is negative and uses a black wire.
