GasFinder2 Operation Manual — Operating Instructions July 17th 2017

Serial Commands:

this item enables the

GasFinder2

receive commands from a computer running the

GasViewOP

program or any terminal program. These commands are
described in Appendix F and the user manual for the

GasViewOP

Auxiliary Mode:

this mode is for factory use only.

23.

Real Time Clock:

this submenu allows the user to set the

Real Time Clock (RTC). Press the

ENT

key to cycle through

the date and time entries.

The up and down keys will change

the item, and pressing

ESC

will back out of the submenu.

The values will automatically be saved on exit.

Ref. Cell Check:

this item automatically displays the quality as

a percentage of the original value and also the integrity of the
internal reference cell.

(Quality & R2)

This is not an adjustable item.

Battery Voltage:

this provides a convenient way of checking

the voltage of the 12VDC power supply.

If the voltage falls below 11.5V, a fl ashing ‘B’ will appear in the
top right corner of the display.
If the voltage falls below 11.0V the

GasFinder2

will shut down

to protect the electronics. The data will be stored and can be
retrieved when power is restored.
This is not an adjustable item.

Internal Temperature:

this displays the internal temperature

of the

GasFinder2

. It is usually 10

C above ambient.

This is not an adjustable item.

Enhanced Analysis:

This item is not currently implemented.

System Diagnostics:

this mode is for factory use only.

29.

Alarm Test Menus:

this Submenu allows the operator to

simulate various alarm conditions in order to test the control
systems. This item also has a setting for Gas B when a dual
gas system is used.
