No screen display.
• Make sure the TV is set to the correct input channel
(normally “3”). This is usually your Video, AV, AUX, L1,
or L2.
Lost or damaged smart card.
• Call Boca Research Technical Support for assistance.
Forgotten PIN number.

Connecting sequence fails.
• Make sure the phone line is connected to both the
unit and a telephone outlet.
• Make sure the smart card is properly inserted (logo-
side up).
• Make sure that an extension phone is not in use or the
line will be busy. Call the local access number from an
open phone and listen for modem connection.
• Review the following options:
1. Make sure your prefix is valid and call waiting is
enabled in the Options menu (see page 36).
2. Make sure you have a local phone number and
all ISP information is accurately recorded (see p.
21).
Printer won’t work
• Check the connection.
• Did you set up the printer during setup? See page 36.
• Make sure you have chosen a compatible printer code
(see list of compatible printers on page 43).
