Troubleshooting
The WCS-1 will not switch on
Connect the charger to see
whether the red LED remains
permanently on while charging
is in progress.
If the red LED does not light up,
the batteries or the printed cir-
cuit board could be defective.
If the batteries charge in the
normal way (red LED lights up)
and the charging time is very
short or the system still refuses
to switch on, the battery has
probably reached the end of its
useful life.
You can have the batteries and
the printed circuit board
checked and, if necessary, re-
placed by your authorised
BMW motorcycle dealer.
The WCS-1 is on but voice
communication is not
possible
Check that the WCS-1 in the
second helmet is switched on
and that the helmets are cor-
rectly paired.
Briefly press the " Select On/
Off " multifunction button to
make sure that the WCS-1 hel-
met is no longer in setup mode.
Don the helmet and say a few
words.
The green LED must light up af-
ter a brief delay and stay on, in-
dicating that the connection
has been correctly established
(connect mode).
If you still cannot hear what the
other person is saying, in-
crease the volume for your
WCS-1 helmet by pressing the
"
+ " button.
If the voice-communication
problems persist, have your
authorised BMW motorcycle
dealer check the WCS-1 com-
munication system.
