Troubleshooting
Pairing unsuccessful
If pairing fails the red LED on
the searching WCS-1 helmet
flashes three times.
The problem might be due to
other Bluetooth devices in the
vicinity.
Note
Check that there are no other
Bluetooth devices within a
10-metre range. If there are
other devices within this range,
switch them off until pairing is
successfully completed.
If problems persist, delete what
might be invalid pairing infor-
mation in both helmets (unpair
the helmets) as described in
the section entitled "Pairing
and function check", and try
again.
Communication with mobile
phones
Not all Bluetooth mobile
phones are fully compliant with
the Bluetooth standard.
If pairing with a particular mo-
bile phone proves unsuccess-
ful, consult the instructions for
use supplied with the mobile
phone to find out whether other
parameters have to be set.
A list of mobile phones that are
compatible with the BMW
WCS-1 communication system
is posted on the BMW Motor-
rad website.
Note
As a general rule, a mobile
phone has to support the
Bluetooth headset profile in
order to operate in conjunction
with the BMW WCS-1
communication system.
