they are played. The track titles
from the iPod are used as titles
for alphabetic sorting and display.
The playlists from the iPod will
also be found in addition to the
individual tracks. The audio
system recognises all lists with
names beginning with "BMW"
followed by a number from 1 to
9 (e. g. "BMW1..."). The tracks
in these playlists are played in
the sequence required by the
iPod.
The iPod receives power from
the USB cable.
iPhone
An iPhone can be used as a
playback source in the same way
as an iPod. The telephone func-
tions are deactivated while the
iPhone is being used as a play-
back source; a message to this
effect might appear in the display
of the iPhone.
Sound quality
To maximise sound quality, BMW
Motorrad recommends the fol-
lowing system settings for the
iPod/iPhone:
Volume adaptation: ON
Equaliser: OFF
Other playback devices
The audio system outputs the
track that is currently being
played by the playback device
via the speakers. The playback
device cannot be controlled by
the system if it is only connected
via the jack.
