Changing the batteries

1.

Press the catch and remove the cover.

2.

Change the batteries. The battery type and
installed position are indicated on the base
of the battery compartment.

3.

Close the cover.

Dispose of old batteries only at an author-
ised collecting point or hand them in to

BMW Service.

Sound reproduction via

speakers

As well as via the headphones, you can have the
sound reproduced via the car's speakers.
As soon as a plug is inserted in the AUX-In con-
nection in the centre console, the DVD sys-
tem's sound reproduction via the car's speak-
ers is interrupted.

Press the

button.

The start menu is called up.

2.

Move the controller backwards to call up
"Entertainment".

3.

Select "AUX / Rear" and press the control-
ler.

Switching DVD system on/off

Press the button on the CD/DVD player.
The DVD system comes on automatically when
a CD or DVD is inserted.

Playing a CD/DVD

The data on each CD or DVD determines which
menu items are used to call up the contents of
the CD/DVD:

Pictures via "Foto".

Playing videos from a

CD/DVD

Country codes for DVDs

Your DVD player will only play DVDs with the
coding of your home region, e.g. Europe = 2.
Details of which country code your DVD sup-
