The device must not be exposed to, much less come into contact with, combustion heat sources or
flammable agents.
BMB MEDICAL shall not be held liable in the event of incidents or accidents resulting from
improper use or modification of the product by the buyer or user.
4.2
NON
STANDARD
USES
This couch is designed and suitable for medical practices and procedures and therefore for
specific usage. Non-standard use of this couch may result in accidents suffered by the user
or even irreversible deterioration of the couch.
The following list of non-standard uses of the couch is not an exhaustive one. BMB MEDICAL
leaves it to users to apply common sense.

Use by any person who has not read this user manual.

Use by any person outside of the nursing staff who has not been authorized or advised
by a qualified person.

Use as a bed for a short person (under 1.30 m) or under the age of 12.

Handling by a child.

Use of the electric controls by more than one person.

Use of the couch with a heavier weight than the safe working load (refer to the technical
features).

Use of the chassis to hold or store objects.

Use of oxygen equipment under the plinth frame.
-
Use in the presence of a flammable anesthetic mixture.

Use outside of the establishment or on an unfinished floor surface.

Use on a floor surface with a gradient greater than 10°.
-
Washing by sluicing, high-pressure water or steam jet or passage through a tunnel
washer.

Rigorous use or jolting of the motors.

Moving the couch while it is still connected to the electric power source.

Connecting an electrical device to the couch by any means whatsoever.

Any attempt to unscrew the ground terminal screw from the power supply box.

Connecting the couch to a non-compliant power source.
-
Any other use that does not qualify as a function for a hospital couch.
Information:
The electrical springs are equipped with a thermal protection feature that prevents
them from functioning if the motor overheats from rigorous use. They return to their original
working condition within 2 hours of the couch being disconnected from the electric power source.
