5 Removable Filters
Gloves should be worn when handling filters and filter paddles.
Remove the lid to expose the modules, take care to keep contaminants such as dust
to a minimum to reduce the risk of contamination. All removable filters are labelled
with their respective channel number and name. The filter is held in a plastic paddle-
shaped material which is safe to handle (Figure 12).

One side of the paddle is rough while the other is smooth. The smooth surface should
face towards the module with the rough facing away. Each filter can be inserted one
way only. As they are interchangeable, care should be taken to ensure that they are
positioned correctly (Figure 13).
To remove a filter paddle simply grip and pull gently upwards. To insert a filter paddle,
align then push down. The filter paddle will audibly click into place to indicate that it
is aligned with the LED.
