SECTION 9

UMS Multi Client Software

UMS Multi Client software can monitor several DVRs (sites) simultaneously. It can display to up 256 live video channels on one
screen, playback video clips, control PTZ cameras, monitor alarms, and be configured with 2-way audio communication through the
DVR.

NOTE

In a high bandwidth network, a maximum of four users can access one DVR simultaneously. In a low bandwidth network it is
recommended that only one user access the DVR at a time.

9.1 PC Requirements

For the UMS Multi Client software, the minimum PC requirements are:

•

CPU

: Intel® Pentium® IV, 2GHz or faster

•

Memory

: 512MB (1GB or larger is recommended.)

•

VGA memory

: 16MB (64MB or larger is recommended.)

•

Resolution

: 1024 x 768

•

Disk space

: 1GB

•

Supported operating systems

: Microsoft Windows 2000, XP Professional, XP Home, Vista (Some versions of Windows

Vista are incompatible. Contact DIGIOP for more information.)

•

Network

: 10/100BaseT network

•

DirectX

: DirectX 8.1 or higher

9.2 Installing the UMS Multi Client

Insert the provided CD in the CD drive. Open a file list of the CD, then double-click “UMSMClient(xxxxxx).exe”
