1.
Make
sure
the
DVR
power
is
switched
OFF

Replace
the
mounting
plate
into
the
DVR
and
fix
it
with
screws.
Before Installation
Please make sure that the power of DVR is switched off.
If you install 2 HDDs, you must set one HDD as a master and the
other as a slave!
For single HDD installation, please set jumper to master.
Failure to do so may cause abnormal recording
operation on the DVR.
Do not enable cable select.
Important
Note
This
procedure
is
intended
to
be
used
for
setting
up
a
new
hard
disk
containing
no
information
on
it.
Do
not
follow
these
steps
if
your
hard
disk
has
already
been
partitioned
and
formatted,
or
it
will
be
like
to
cause
data
loss.
Step
2.
Open
the
top
cover
of
DVR
using
a
cross
screw
driver.

Take
out
the
HDD
mounting
plate
from
DVR.
Step
4.
Place
HDD(s)
on
the
mounting
plate
and
mount
it
with
screws.
Step
6.
Attach
the
data
cable
and
power
cable
to
HDD(s)
correctly.
Step
7.
Replace
the
top
cover
of
DVR
and
fix
it
with
screws.
After
the
HDD(s)
installation
Step
8.
Turn
the
DVR
power
ON.
Step
9.
DVR
will
detect
HDD(s)
during
the
booting
and
start
formatting.
Step
10.
DVR
will
automatically
be
rebooted
after
formatting
and ready
to
work
with
HDD(s).
