2. For long storage, it is recommended to store a fully
charged battery pack in a cool dry place out of the
charger for optimal results.
nOTE:
Battery packs should not be stored completely
depleted of charge. The battery pack will need to be
recharged before use.

Intended Use
Your BLACK+DECKER hedge trimmer is designed for
residential trimming applications.

Supervision is required when inexperienced operators use
this tool.
Installing and Removing Attachments
(Fig. B, C)
WARNING:
Shock hazard.
Under no
circumstances should this product be used near water.
WARNING:
Burn hazard.
Moving parts
within the base unit become hot during use. Avoid
contact with moving parts within base unit when
removing and installing accessories or attachments.
WARNING:
Before assembly, remove the
battery from the base unit. Remove any accessory from the
attachment before removing or installing the attachment.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of injury, do
not place fingers or other objects inside the base unit,
other than the attachments designed to work with the
base unit.
1. To fit an attachment or the extension pole to the base
unit

, align the attachment/pole base with the base
unit as shown in Fig. B and Fig. C.
2. Firmly push the attachment or extension pole onto the base
unit until it snaps into place and an audible click is heard.
nOTE:
Attachments fit onto the extension pole in the same
manner as the base unit.
3. Ensure attachment or extension pole is securely attached
to the base unit or extension pole by gently pulling it
away. The attachment should remain in place.
4. To remove an attachment or extension pole, depress
the release button

attachment or extension pole and pull attachment
or extension pole away from the base unit or
extension pole.
nOTE:
Only use attachments that are specifically designed
for and are compatible with the base unit.
