Sound and light warnings
Cleaning and Maintenance
• Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Attach the protection plug to the coffee pot, then clean
the coffee pot’s internal housing under running water
and be careful not to get water to the coffee pot's
contacts.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal objects or hard
brushes to clean the appliance.
• Do not immerse the device or supply cord in water or
any other liquid.
• Do not use solvents when cleaning the appliance
• Clean the coffee pot’s lower surface with a soft sponge
without using wire sponge, otherwise it will cause
scratching of the lower surface of the coffee pot. Be
careful not to scratch to this surface.
• Never wash the coffee pot in the dishwasher.
• Do not wash any part of the appliance other than coffee
pot. Use damp and soft cloth to clean and wipe using a
mild detergent if necessary.
• The instructions for coffee-makers shall state that
cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
• For cleaning the scars on the coffee pot’s lower surface
without damaging the inner surface, put 1 cup of heated
water into the coffee pot than put half cup of vinegar or
1-2 lemon salt onto it. You can use the device after scars
cleaning by rinsing.
Protecting the environment
Separate collection. This product must not be
disposed of with normal household waste.
Should you find one day that your BLACK+DECKER product
needs replacement, or if it is of no further use to you, do not
dispose of it with other household waste. Make this product
available for separate collection.
• BLACK+DECKER provides a facility for recycling
BLACK+DECKER products once they have reached the
end of their working life. This service is provided free of
charge. To take advantage of this service please return
your product to any authorised repair agent who will
collect them on our behalf.
• You can check the location of your nearest authorised
repair agent by contacting your local BLACK+DECKER
office at the address indicated in this manual.
