channel. The Switch comes from the factory with mouse
switching enabled; to disable mouse switching, move
position 4 of the Switch’s configuration DIP switch to
ON (see
Section 4.2
).
The mouse will switch to the next
active
channel
if DIP switch position 2 is OFF; it will switch to the
next channel
in numeric sequence
if DIP switch position 2
is ON (see
Section 4.2
).
5.7 Re-Enabling a Disconnected PS/2 Mouse
If you disconnect the shared PS/2 mouse from the
ServSwitch Wizard by accident during operation, the
mouse will not work right when you plug it back in. To
avoid having to reboot the entire system in this situation,
the Switch has an automatic mouse-recovery system.
With the PS/2 mouse disconnected, change the
channel using the Switch’s change-channel pushbutton
or the keyboard hotkeys. The ServSwitch Wizard detects
that the mouse has been disconnected and triggers the
automatic recovery system. Plug in the PS/2 mouse and
the ServSwitch Wizard will re-initialize it.
Alternatively, you can have the Switch do a power-off
reset of the keyboard and mouse (see
Section 6.2.3
).
