Power to Pin 18

5. Locate the jumper in the lower

left corner, right above the
parallel connector labeled
“Parallel In From PC/LAN”
(see

Figure F-1)

6. Remove the black jumper from

the pin, then reinsert it covering
both pins (see

Figures F-1a

and

F1-b

7. Slide the PQ-8 board back into

the bottom groove of the chassis.

8. Tighten the black screws on the

back panel.

9. Connect the printer and the

PC/LAN to the PQ-8, then
connect the power cord.

10. Power on the printer, then the

PQ-8.

To transfer power to pin 18 of the
parallel input connector of the
PQ-8P, you must move a jumper on
the PQ-8P board. To move this
jumper do the following:

1. Power off the printer, the

PQ-8P, and the attached PC or
LAN print server.

2. Disconnect all cables from the

PQ-8P.

3. Remove the two black screws

from the outside of the back
panel.

4. Pull out the PQ-8P’s back panel,

together with the attached
board.
