CHAPTER 3: Installation
For wallmount installation, use the underside of
the converters as a template to measure and mark
out the position of the holes onto the surface
where you will install the converters. Then use the
two mounting screws provided to mount each of
the converters firmly in place.
2. Connect the appropriate power supply for your
country to the power connector on the side of
each converter. Plug the power supply into a
suitable power outlet.
3. Power on the converters. The power LED should
light. If it does not, make sure that the power
cable is plugged in properly.
4. Make sure that the Category 5 straight-through
twisted-pair cables between the 100BASE-TX
device (hub or switch) and each converter is no
longer than 328 ft. (100 m).
5. Connect one end of the cable to the RJ-45 jack on
one of the converters.
6. Connect the other end of the cable to the RJ-45
jack on the 100BASE-TX device.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the other converter.
