15.7 Defining the Line-Feed Character Key
A line feed is the character used by the ISDN TA/V to make its output
readable when the response codes are configured to be given in text format
(see
Section 13.5
). The keyboard character used to action a line feed is
defined within S-Register S4 using the ASCII value of the required character.
This can be altered using the command
S4= n where n is a value from 0 to 127.
The default setting for the line feed character is S4=10 , 10 being the ASCII
value of the line-feed key.
15.8 ISDN TA/V Response (Result) Codes and Extended Response Codes
As described in Section 13.5 , the format and type of response codes which will
be sent from the ISDN TA/V to your computer/terminal is dependent on the
settings of the
Q , X , and V commands. Refer to Section 13.5 for a full
description of these commands and the options that they provide.
15.9 V.25bis Command-Mode Format
When the ISDN TA/V is using a configuration which requires V.25bis dialing
commands (according to the
&M or &Q command setting) as opposed to AT
commands, the format of these commands is dictated by the value of S-
Registers S62, S63 and S64.

S-Register S62 is used to identify to the ISDN TA/V the type of character
coding used by the DTE while in V.25bis command mode:
S62=0 Specifies that ASCII character code will be used.
S62=1 Specifies that EBCDIC character code will be used.

S-Register S63 is used to identify to the ISDN TA/V the type of idle fill used
by the DTE while in HDLC V.25bis command mode:
S63=0 represents a Mark
and S63=1 represents a Flag.
