PERFORMING AN UPGRADE

Agility Zero U units are flash upgradeable using the method outlined here. However, for larger installations we recommend that
you use the iPATH Agility Controller to upgrade multiple Agility units. When using the method below, the Agility Zero U unit will be
upgraded in sequence.

IMPORTANT: Upgrades should be performed equally on transmitters and receivers at the same time. Mixed firmware operation
may cause issues.
WARNING: During the upgrade process, ensure that power is not interrupted as this may leave Agility Zero U unit in an inoperable
state.

If the upgrade process is interrupted and fails, it may be necessary to switch to the backup firmware image in order to regain
operation. See previous page for details.

TO FIND THE LATEST UPGRADE FILES

Firmware files for the Agility Zero U units are available from the Black Box Support department.

Note: It is possible to downgrade the firmware. After installing the older firmware, perform a factory reset on each Agility unit in
order to clear the configuration file.

TO UPGRADE A SINGLE AGILITY ZERO U UNIT VIA THE NETWORK LINK

1 Download the latest upgrade file from Black Box.
2 Temporarily connect the Agility Zero U unit and a computer via a network (see

Browser-based configuration utility

section for

details).

3 Run a web browser on your computer and enter the IP address of the Agility Zero U unit to be upgraded.
4 Click the Firmware Upgrade link. Within the Firmware Upgrade page, click the Choose File button. In the subsequent file dialog,

locate the downloaded upgrade file - check that the file is correct for Agility Zero U unit being upgraded. The file contains a
single image.

5 Click the Upgrade Now button. A progress bar will be displayed (however, if your screen is connected to Agility Zero U unit

being upgraded then video may be interrupted) and the status indicators on Agility Zero U unit will flash while the upgrade is in
progress.

6 The indicators should stop flashing after roughly two minutes, after which Agility Zero U unit will automatically reboot itself.

The upgrade process is complete.
