INTRODUCTION
Introduction
To get the maximum benefit from your blood
pressure monitor, we recommend that you consult
your doctor or qualified health care professional first.
Thank you for buying a blood pressure monitor.
When properly used and carefully maintained, your
blood pressure monitor will provide you with years
of reliable readings.
The measurement method used by your automatic
blood pressure monitor is called the oscillometric
method. The blood pressure monitor detects your
blood’s movement in the artery in your wrist and
converts the movements into a digital reading. The
oscillometric method does not require a stethoscope,
making the blood pressure monitor easier to use.
The pre-shaped cuff is easy to put on and
comfortable to wear.
Clinical research has proven a direct relationship
between blood pressure in the wrist and blood
pressure in the arm. Because the arteries in your wrist
and arm are connected, changes in blood pressure
in the wrist reflect the changes of blood pressure
in the arm. Frequently measuring blood pressure in
the wrist will provide you and your doctor with an
accurate indication of changes in your actual blood
pressure.
Those with severe hypertension, severe
arteriosclerosis or severe diabetes must consult their
doctor regarding blood pressure monitoring in the
arm.
Blood pressure measurements with this device
are equivalent to measurements obtained by
a trained observer using the cuff/stethoscope
auscultation method within the limits prescribed by
the National Standard for Electronic or Automated
Sphygmomanometers.
