Installation of the Expansion Card
and Resource Card(s)

2.1

Remove Dummy Cover or Expansion
Card

Firstly, remove the dummy cover of the expansion slot of the basic unit of

X4100/200/300

or remove an expansion card that is already installed.

Caution!

Electrostatic charges can damage electronic components. Please

observe the following precautions to avoid damaging compo-

nents:

➤

Ground yourself before unpacking the expansion card or re-
source card and before carrying out installation work on the
equipment.

➤

Only grip printed circuit boards at the edges and do not touch
cables or components.

Danger!

Do not touch any parts inside the extension slot when installing or

replacing the extension card. There is a risk of electric shock!
