AUTOMATIC VAPOR PLUS
7. INSTALLATION AND ACTIVATION
ATTENTION: read and follow carefully all the safety instructions previusly reported, pay attention to
the instructions about the electrical system to which the appliance is connected.
ATTENTION: check for the draining tap (12) and the security tap (9) to be closed .
1. Unscrew the water tank closure (3) and add tap water.
WATER MUST NOT BE DISTILLED AND/OR DEMINERALIZED. THE WATER LEVEL CHECK SYSTEM DOES
NOT WORK WITH DISTILLED AND DEMINERALIZED WATER.
8.1 USE
1. Deactivate all the switches and connect the power cable to a grounded socket and ensure that it is fully
extended and not twisted. Do not pull the power cable, crush it and/or stretch it.
ATTENTION: ENSURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS EQUIPPED WITH A DIFFERENTIAL SWITCH (LI-
FE-SAVING SYSTEM) AND WITH A PROTECTIVE CONDUCTOR (GROUNDING SYSTEM).
2. Activate the general/iron switch (5) and the first heater switch (6). When the water inside the boiler is
under the minimum level, a pump will start to fill it from the water tank (it may take up to 15 minutes).
IMPORTANT: IT WILL BE POSSIBLE TO ACTIVATE THE 2nd HEATER ONLY AFTER THE PUMP FINISHES THE
FILLING OPERATION.
3. Activate the 2nd heater switch (7) to get a stronger and a longer-lasting steam jet.
4. Wait for the pressure gauge (8) reach approximately 3 bars to start to work.
5. For dry-ironing activate only the general switch (5).
6. Set the iron temperature using the knob (11) according to the fabric (the optimal temperature is 50/70
°C).
7. If necessary, adjust the intensity of the steam jet using the knob placed on the solenoid valve (13). The
default position is half open.
8. Test the temperature on a hidden part of a cloth to be ironed. A high temperature may burn fabrics or
cause the unwelcome shiny effect. This may be avoided using an anti-shine Teflon base.
Do not unscrew the security tap (9) while the boiler is pressured/in use.
9. Set the iron thermostat (11) in the desidered position. Press on the red button on the iron handle (10)
to deliver steam. Address the first steam jet far from people and/or animals, to a safe direction, and press
several times to get rid of possible condensation. If necessary set the steam jet flow using the knob of the
solenoid valve (13).
10. When the the boiler is almost empty, the pump refills the boiler taking water from the tank. When the
tank is almost empty a sound alarm is activated: do not turn off the machine and refill the tank. While the
alarm is on, a security system cuts off the eletrical power turning off the machine.
At the end of the job, turn off all the switches and unplug the machine from the outlet. It is not neces-
sary to empty the boiler. Empty the boiler at least once a month.
