USE
1. Remove the injector mounting screw.
2. Disassemble the injector incl. retaining clip.
3. Close off the injector shaft, thereby preventing shavings from entering it.
4. Insert the twist drill guide sleeve (2) into the screw hole. Caution: Please observe the following
when working with twist or step drills. You can determine the required drilling depth and
therefore the setting of the adjusting ring for the drilling depth by means of a new injector
mounting screw. Make sure that you do not drill too deeply and thereby damage the cylinder
head.
5. Insert the 6 mm twist drill (5) into a drilling machine and drill out the torn-off part of the screw.
6. Remove the twist drill guide sleeve (2), insert the 8mm twist drill reduced to 7 mm (6) into a
drilling machine, and re-bore the 6 mm bore to 7 mm (not 8 mm) !
7. Select the tap M8 and make an M8 thread.
8. Install a thread repair sleeve (1) onto the assembly tool (3) and assemble the repair sleeve into
the bored M8 thread.
9.
Remove the assembly tool and assemble the injector using a new mounting screw.
