INTENDED USE
This tool set is used to drill out broken injector mounting screws (expansion screws) and to repair M6
threads in the cylinder head. Replacement of the cylinder head or dismantling the valve cover is not
necessary and thereby reduces the time expenditure and repair costs. The tools included facilitate
drilling out the defective thread from M6 to M8 and inserting a thread sleeve M8 to M6. The tool set is
suitable for all Mercedes CDI engines and includes the tool parts listed under “Tools”.

Drilling too deeply can damage the cylinder head; because of this, determine the exact drilling
depth and set the adjusting ring to the drilling depth accordingly.
